Training ended pretty early today at about 6pm.
But like every other training, we learnt new skills, and improved on the old ones.
Coach taught us ball skills, mostly using the front portion of our feet to move the ball around.
We then proceeded to do some passing drills, which I find a little confusing, yet fun once you are able to execute it well.
We then did one on one dribbling with a partner, something like dribbling past the opponents.
It was really fun, and very much like competition, and with every "ole", it feels pretty good.
Heh.

Coach had to leave early so we had an early match, half field, as usual.
I played outfield, and like every other occasion when I play out there, it's a whole new experience.
Coach says I don't look up when I dribble the ball and that I am afraid of losing the ball.
That's true.

The match ended soon enough, and coach left.
But without leaving us with a few "tasks" to complete.
Coach, mah (:

We did about 200 step ups on the ball, then 100 sit ups with the usual "JJ!" shout to end the whole procedure.
Then we sat down to discuss about CNY visit to Coach's House.
Camwhored too, with tanto's camera.
But in our unglamourous state, sweat and all.

Well, you have to admit though, Soccerettes DO look our bestest that way (:

Went out for dinner at Jurong Point!
And we ate at Kopitiam.
Vani and I packed chicken rice from Banquet.
Then we met Jasmine. (Kaypo only, this Jasmine)
:P
Haha, kidding!

So yupps, Vani and I left for home afterwards, and that was it for today.

Rest well girls, and see you when I see you all (:

And Iezah signs off.

This is going to be one super long post about chalet (:
(Ho ho! Bad idea to let Iezah blog haa, since she is so well-known for her long entries)

We had our soccer chalet from January 7 to 9 (actually for me it's from 7 till 8) and trust me, it is one of the highlights of this new year.
Basically, it was pretty much a chalet for the Soccerettes, organized by Coach.
But it was exceptionally fun and full of nonsense.

On the 7th, I had to rush all the way to Tanah Merah to meet up with the girls before catching the 3:30 Shuttle Bus to SAFRA Resort. But I was late by a few minutes and the bus had already left with the whole lot of them. So I cabbed all the way there. Trust me, the cab driver was so nice, because I was super clueless with directions, and so he helped me out.

Upon reaching the place, met up with the rest of them and went to our bungalow, Bungalow 9. Coach was already there of course, so we unpacked our things and tried to make the chalet a homely pad. We basically slacked to the max. And for once, it looked like Coach was the only one doing all the work. But hey, we played our part too. And Sharron and Sze Ting were like mommies, setting ground rules and sweeping and mopping the floor. Most of the time, the television was our only source of entertainment. Plus, it had cable, so what more can you ask for?

"Eh, you guys come here, like at home don't have TV ha", says Coach :P

And Coach caught prawns, there were the big ones and small ones and Tanto picked one random prawn and asked this innocent question "Eh, this prawn how old ah?"
And after that we looked at all the prawns and guessed their age, and spotted one prawn that looked like it was Coach's age.
That prawn was the biggest one of all.

Then we camwhored like it was nobody's business. Thanks to Yuen Fong, whose camera became the hot item for the moment. She was also on high demand la, since she went around snapping pictures.
Sigh, girls will be girls.

The Tai- tais of the team played mahjong with coach and we went around doing random things like scandalling in the rooms and piling on top of one another on the beds. Seriously, we were bored.
Wednesday was a superslack day and we spent most of the time sitting around and eating cup noodles.

Evening came, and they had this horror/thriller film on one of the channels entitled "SHROOMS" and it was plain hilarious, because we started screaming for no apparent reason, when the show wasn't even that scary. But Suh Yee's expressions were classic, and Coach made it worst by switching off all the lights, and closing all the curtains. In the end, we all decided that the horror movie revolved around mushrooms, and for a minute, things just doesn't make sense.

The show ended and we were lazing around on the chairs when I heard guy voices from behind. Upon turning, I saw two heads popping out of the curtain which made me screamed. It turned out that two guys without even knocking first, had opened the sliding doors in our living room and requested for some drinks. How rude.
But obviously, they were tipsy, and even asked for alcoholic drinks. Then asked if we played soccer, and asked which team, from what school.
Xinxuan then said loudly "None of your business".
Which shut the guys up and Coach was there and he was giving them that look that he usually gives when we do nonsense on field.
Stupid neighbors.

We then locked all the doors and windows (just in case).
Coach brought his lappie and we had fun using them, plus he showed us soccer videos on VJSG and it was really an eye opener. Really.
And there and then, it feels like we're not doing enough, or putting in enough during training.
It was solemn for a while, and I felt super guilty, so I went up to the second storey to find Sharron, Kah Poh, Jing Wen and Sharry listening to Sharron's iPod and discussing about music.

Coach told us ghost stories and stories about his younger days, and it was another side of Coach that we rarely get to see or hear. It was scary la, that pochong story he told us. I was the only one freaking out and the rest looked indifferent.
(Duh, I was the only Malay around -_-)

We slacked and waited for the Manchester United and Derby County match to start. I was already sleepy, and so was everyone else.
The match started, and Coach pointed out some useful tips that we can use on the field. Throughout the match, everyone watched quietly, and I think it was because we were all so sleepy, yet trying so hard to be awake.
And Coach was also very quiet.
Then one by one, the girls slowly retreated to the bedrooms upstairs.
I couldn't take it and surrendered during half time.
But before that, I turned to look at Coach.
No wonder la, that man was already asleep with his mouth wide open.

Fancy staying up so late to watch Manchester United get defeated? I don't think so.

HAHHA, Coach -_-

Woke up, and we had breakfast.
Campbell soup! And egg sandwiches!
I was so hungry la, and Coach said that I eat like a Hungry Ghost.
I'm really hungry, what!

We then got changed and booked the street soccer court nearby and played with Coach.
Street soccer is so much more fun and less tiring than on field, due to the small space available.
Played and then we ran 20 laps across the court.
And did 150 sit ups and push ups.

Sharron made her awesome fruit punch!
And Sze Ting, Yuen Fong and I had a fun time helping, and drinking of course.
The rest of the team came down for bbq!
And we all helped to bbq.
Coach used A LOT of aluminum foil and butter.
I call it lazy barbecue.
Because you dump everything inside the aluminum foil with butter and then put it inside the fire.

"Eh Coach, why you only put one prawn on the gauze? Put many many la, bbq very slow like that"

Coach: "The prawn wants to play alone la, see it likes to roll here, roll there" *takes tongs and rolls prawn everywhere on the gauze*

After prawn turns orange.

"The prawn went for sun tanning", says Coach

Jam says "Eh Coach, put the prawn back with all the other prawns la, make them jealous"

LOL!

Not forgetting "The Father Prawn" right, Coach?

Some of the prawns had blood oozing inside their shells, at the head portion.
"Yesterday this prawn did a lot of heading la, that's why", says Coach.

...

And a lot of things happened.
So we bbqued until the seniors came! Thank you so much for coming down, you guys!!! :D
And helping out with Sharron's party! We really enjoyed being with you guys!
Because you guys made everything so much more fun and we even had an online karaoke party together with Coach's laptop.
HAHA, I had a feeling we destroyed the microphone.

I went to microwave the marshmallows and stir it with nutella after it melted. Just for fun.
I made a lot and a lot of it and I think I totally destroyed the ceramic bowl because the marshmallows hardened and it was so hard to remove.
And Coach got super excited when the marshmallows expanded upon heating, and when you stop heating it up, and open the door of the oven, the marshmallows would shrink very fast.
(Coach cute, hor getting excited for no reason)

The girls then secretly prepped the second storey for Sharron's Birthday Party that we have planned beforehand.
And it was hilarious because at this one moment when Sharron wanted to go upstairs to get something, about 6 people stopped her at the exact same time.
"SHARRON, WAIT!"

It was just hilarious la, because she looked so blur and those who called her were thinking up of excuses.
In the end we told her that Coach called for her.
But Coach wasn't helping much because he looked just as clueless!
xD

And then we surprised her!
Funny thing la, that hamster, she DIDN'T suspect a SINGLE thing. After all that had happened.
Woa seh, blur sia.

And we had fun laughing when Sharron tried to blow the candles on her cake which kept on relighting upon extinguishing.
We then blowed on the candles together and tried to put out the flames.
It took A LOT of time.
And some genius even wanted to pour water la!
After we finally managed to blow everything out, Yiting went "The cake's all yours!"
Imagine how many gallons of saliva were on that thing!

Soon, the few of us had to leave so that we could catch the last shuttle bus back to Tanah Merah.
Vani, Suh Yee, Candice, Hui Shan and me.
It was a long train ride home, and very exhausting.
I reached home at 12am.

It was so much fun while it lasted, and I am going to treasure it forever.
Thank you Coach, for everything, thank you Soccerettes, for making the experience an unforgettable one.

And not to forget, Happy 18th Birthday, Sharron! (:
